The Crown Inn is a traditional local ale house located in the village of Maltby Le Marsh between Mablethorpe and Alford near the start of the Lincolnshire Wolds. Since 2007, when Janet and Nigel Walpole bought the freehold, the pub has been providing good food, good ale and good company. The Crown  excels in real ale on traditional hand pull pumps or straight from the barrel - known as serving ales gravity. At least 6 choices are available rotated to give new beers for the regulars and visitors to try. The most popular are Nigel's own brews, made onsite in the microbrewery. Of course the Crown has the usual lagers, spirits, wines and strong real ciders.

The pub has traditional pub games and a trophy winning darts team playing both winter and summer leagues.

In 2008 the Crown Inn was nominated for prestigious CAMRA awards, winning Country Pub of the Year in Louth and District an excellent achievement in less than one year of ownership. So its true that with the outstanding choice of real ales plus CAMRA's endorsement :
